The Shinmachi Shishi-mai (lion dance) is dedicated at the autumn festival of Fujisaki Hachibangu Shrine, which is famous for its heroic horse chasing.

The dance is a graceful and elegant Kabuki style dance, and is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Kumamoto City.
